About HealthyKiwi
Nutrition without the nonsense. Real food, real evidence, real life.
Nutrition is the only field where a stranger with a ring light can contradict thirty years of research and get two million views for it. HealthyKiwi exists because we were tired of it.
We started in 2026 with a simple rule: we tell you what the evidence actually says, including when it says "we don't know." No detoxes. No superfoods. No 30-day resets. No moralising about what you ate last night.
What we cover
- Nutrition 101 — protein, fibre, fats and what the nutrients actually do.
- Everyday Eating — meal prep, budgets, labels, and getting dinner on the table.
- Gut & Immunity — fibre, fermented foods and the microbiome, minus the supplement ads.
- Weight & Metabolism — blood sugar, appetite, GLP-1 medications, sustainable change.
- Vitamins & Supplements — the short list of what's worth buying.
How we work
Every article is written by a named human being and checked against primary sources — systematic reviews and randomised trials wherever they exist, not a single press release about a single mouse study. We describe the weight of evidence, and we say so plainly when it is thin, mixed or contested.
We are not your doctor. Nothing here is medical advice. Where a question needs a professional — a deficiency, a diagnosis, a medication — we say so and we tell you to go and see one. Read our medical disclaimer and editorial policy.
Who writes this
- Nadia Ruiz, RD — registered dietitian. Protein, weight management, clinical nutrition.
- Dr. Owen Baptiste — PhD in nutritional science. Metabolism, micronutrients, evidence review.
- Marcus Chen — food writer and recipe developer. Budgets, batch cooking, actual dinners.
How we pay for it
HealthyKiwi is free to read and funded by advertising, which is clearly labelled and kept out of the way of the words. Advertisers do not see articles before publication and have no influence on what we write. We do not accept payment to recommend a supplement, ever.
